A professional musician and vocalist since the 1960s, Billy Miller is a natural born entertainer who has had a major impact in music industry in Australia. Bill’s first notable professional recognition for his outstanding vocal and musical ability was a 3 year stint in the original cast of  the legendary Harry M. Miller production of the acclaimed rock musical “Jesus Christ Superstar”, understudying Trevor White in  the lead role of Jesus. From there Billy went on to form innovative pop-rock group “The Ferrets”, who became one of the most successful and original groups on the Australian music scene in the late 70s & early 80s, making Billy a national star, with regular TV appearances, a national No. 1 hit ("Don't Fall In Love") and gold album ("Dreams of a Love").

Countless bands and gigs followed, and today he still performs weekly with his original band in Melbourne, as well as performing regularly nationally and internationally with the Dave Graney Show. Later this year he will feature in the "Countdown Spectacular" stage show, currently receiving national press coverage.

For nearly 10 years he has worked as session musician/vocalist, producer and sound engineer for leading music production company Duffield Kenihan, creating music for highly successful national network TV commercials. He now successfully freelances in this field.

Among his many credits he has co-produced the music for "Round The Twist" for the Children's TV Foundation and composed music for several short films, including "The Bird" (VCA 1996), which won an industry 'best music' in its category.

He is an examiner in the RMIT music programme and makes a significant community contribution using his musical skills and recording knowledge with disadvantaged youth in Melbourne’s inner city and in the prison system.
