| Brian Watt has toured as a musician/entertainer in Australia and internationally for over 20 years. As the first person in Australia to a receive a university degree majoring in rock vocal styles (Southern Cross University, Lismore), Brian is a highly regarded soloist in the Northern Rivers region of NSW for his outstanding vocal range and power, his dynamic rhythmic energy, and his ability to entertain people of all ages. He has also performed a popular "greatest hits" show with Barry Ferrier for the past ten years as half of the duo "Snapshot".
Brian's unique musical memory, his outstanding ability to mimic vocal styles and his impressive vocal range enables him to make a powerful contribution as an artist and entertainer. He has received a North Coast Entertainment Industry Dolphin Award for his song "Get Started". Brian is also a secondary school music teacher. He has had a long association with Australia Council-funded youth percussion group “The Young Drums” travelling with them as sound engineer and production manager to the internationally acclaimed Aberdeen Youth Festival in Scotland in 1997. He was invited back the following year to work for the Festival in the same capacity by the Festival Committee. In 1998 he traveled with Barry Ferrier to Bathurst Island, 80 km off Darwin in the Northern Territory, to work with indigenous youth for the Catholic Education Office, producing the “Kukunari Show”. He is one of the featured vocalists in Poco Loco and also plays rhythm guitar, stomp-box and foot-triggered tambourine - all at once ( a show in itself!).
